About Thomas
My Name is Thomas Ward Burnett and I am a UX Designer. I was born April 22nd, 1997 in Seattle, Washington to William J Burnett and Joanna Burnett. I grew up near Atlanta Georgia and spent my youth both outside as a Boy Scout and inside as a Gamer. I studied interactive design at Kennesaw State University after discovering my love of the design of technology.
My Life at Work
In 2019 I got a job washing dishes at Outback Steakhouse. This lead to my current job profession of line cook. I have worked at various restaurants with a variety of co-workers including chef's who asked me cook new dishes the day I learned them. Making dishes to order, understanding allergens and listening to customer and co-workers needs while getting orders out on time was never easy.

Because of the work I have done I believe I learned many lessons but these are the most important one's i've learned.
-
Come to a superior with not only a problem but a potential solution
-
Your words mean nothing if not backed up by your actions
-
Recognize and admit your mistake as soon as possible so it can be fixed
-
Research in your off hours is essential, and will pay dividends
-
Work is part of your life, not what drains life.

After years of study and learning, I hope to apply my dedication to the field of UX design.
In my Spare time
In my spare time I enjoy focusing on my hobbies and my health. These include board games, exercising, reading books and comics, painting warhammer miniatures and cooking. I started cooking professionally in 2020 and have made a variety of dishes in my spare time, both healthy meals and unhealthy meals for pleasure.
